Build a 3D printer for Maker Space Lab, Grove School of Engineering, CCNY which is also fitted with the ability to print remotely and monitor the working status using a camera. 3D printer should be easy to accessible and also most importantly safe for the end user.
Build a prototype of a mechanical transport mechanism which can move an object over a landing constitutes a transport mechanism. This product is used in the manufacturing industry today that enable optimized manufacturing assembly lines as well as this design is largely used for logistics company.
Select a real problem in mechanical design. It should be about a product or part that are very familiar with, from having used it extensively and/or having seen it fail. In order to analyze it using FEM, need to know a lot about it in advance, and should be able to obtain at least one sample of the product or part.
